Description
Black-crested Titmouse Deep in Thought by Debra Martz
Well, maybe not real deep in thought, just a quick thought on where to flit off to next! They really don't stay still very long at all.
The Black-crested Titmouse is a bird of Texas and northeastern Mexico. Where their ranges overlap with the Tufted Titmouse in central Texas, they have been know to hybridize. The two were once considered the same species, but they are distinct genetically and vocally.
This image captured in April at South Llano River State Park of Texas.

Wonderful capture, Deb, with a classic pose and a great snag of wood for its perch. Terrific! Your beautiful and identified bird image has been featured by Wild Birds Of The World, a nature photography group. L/F
