Red Tailed Hawk Portrait by Debra Martz I recently moved to northern Oklahoma and have discovered the many, many hawks while exploring the backroads. There is a lot of open plains, and grain fields, the perfect places for a bird of prey to hunt. Most every time I pull off of the road, the hawk flies. But today this Red-tailed Hawk was not interested nor disturbed by my stopping...gave me at least a minute of its time before it flew. For once I was able to get several shots before it flew. Two layers of texture have been added to the background and digitally painted, then finalized with a white vignette.
