Spoonbills Playing Follow the Leader by Debra Martz
The Roseate Spoonbill is one of my favorite birds native to our coastal area in south Texas. Why my favorite? For their pink coloring and unique shaped bill resembling a spoon...thus their name! They are gorgeous at a distance while somewhat bizarre up close!! :) And as you can see, they can be quite playful! They are locally common in coastal Texas, Florida and SW Louisiana.
