Description
She was enjoying the fruits of this tree as seen up close in her beak while on migration through south Texas in May. Adult males are black-and-white birds with a brilliant red triangular bib but the females have No red. They are brown and heavily streaked, with a bold whitish stripe over the eye and small white patch at the base of the primaries
