Long-billed Thrasher at Salineno Preserve in South Texas by Debra Martz We had several foggy, overcast mornings while birding in Salineno during the month of January. May not get the best light but hey, I'll take the uncluttered, white sky background. These thrashers often sit in the treetop and sing and that was what I was waiting for but...it flew instead of serenading! It is a year around resident of the southern counties in Texas and down central to east coastal Mexico down to Vericruz.
