Great Blue Herons of Rockport Rookery by Debra Martz It was a great way to spend Valentine's Day 2019 watching the large amount of Herons that had gathered at the Rockport Rookery (south Texas) in preparation for breeding season. I'm guessing there are around 100+ in the Live Oak tree tops that nest here year after year along with Great Egrets, also. I've used digital tools to add textures, create a frame on my original photograph and desaturated to almost black and white leaving just a hint of color.
