Spotted this Yellow-rumped Warbler, nickname Butter Butt for its yellow feathers on the backside, hopping around the edge of the pond just off the back deck at the visitors center of Estero Llano Grande State Park in Weslaco, TX. It was all over the place!! Then finally, hopped up on the reeds and posed for me before turning and giving this stare!!! There are boardwalks over and around the pond and many more trails for bird watching. 45 different species had been spotted the morning I visited the park!
