Description
Wind Blown Snowy Egret ©Debra Martz It's windy in Oklahoma most of the time which is fine when it gives displays of beautiful feathers. The lacy plumes on its head and back are some of its plumage left from the breeding season. Also, the lores (between eye and bill) are usually bright yellow but flush reddish in the breeding season. Captured in May at the Great Salt Plains State Park in Northern Oklahoma. ©Debra Martz, All Rights Reserved
