Spider Wasp on Blooming Rabbitbrush by Debra Martz In late summer and early fall the Rabbitbrush turns the landscapes of northern New Mexico a vibrant yellow. It's beautiful and a great source of food for insects which in turn attracts birds. The Spider Wasp family is aka Pompilid with this one being narrowed down more to the Genus of Tarantula Hawks(Pepsis).
