Ice Bank on the Lake by Debra Martz After some severe cold weather in January, we finally had some days of south winds which brought some much-needed warmth. Which meant, time out of the house! So naturally, we headed to the state park only 45 miles away from home. One surface area of the lake was completely devoid of ice remains and that was where we saw large numbers of Pelicans and Gulls. Another end of the lake had no waterfowl to see but the ice that had piled up on the north bank was a pretty cool sight.
