Hungry Mouths by Debra Martz I was below the spillway at the Great Salt Plains Lake in Northern Oklahoma for a bird watching day. At the bottom of the spillway there are peninsulas of concrete built on either side which narrows the passage of the waters. While making some photos of birds I could see something at that narrow passageway "rolling" in the water. The winds were high and at first I thought it was churning mud but as I got closer I could see round ends and thought maybe some type of bamboo stalks...until I was close enough to see all these mouths of the fish...Carp to be exact!!
