Scooping For Fish by Debra Martz
Early in the morning or evening is when I like to look for coastal birds fishing. I spotted this duo one morning working together as they searched out their breakfast. American White Pelicans often work together herding fish to the more shallow areas and then they scoop up fish and other organisms. They do not dive for fish like the brown pelicans.
