American White Pelicans Working Together by Debra Martz It is common to see these pelicans working together at feeding time. They will gather in fairly large groups and herd schooling fish to shallower waters where they can then easily scoop up these corralled fish from the water. Captured this image of the fall migrating pelicans at Great Salt Plains Lake in northern Oklahoma.
