Description
High Stepping Whistling Duck ©Debra Martz I was not quite sure what the high stepping was all about but this Black-Bellied Whistling Duck did this repeatedly. Odd thing was that it only did this move with its right leg and foot. The left took a normal step each time. I don't know, maybe an injury of some sort but I couldn't see if it was. Captured along the 4800 ft boardwalk at South Padre Island Birding and Nature Center the last day of February.

This work has so much to it. Beautiful color, excellent focus, perfect reflection, and most of all a humorous subject. I love it. Fav
