I felt the need to look back as I left the Spirit Warriors circle. This is what I saw and then I understood my feelings of spirits calling to me for another look.

This bronze sculpture of three Native American Spirited Warriors riding off to battle was designed by Oglala artist Colleen Cutschall. It is a part of the circular Indian Memorial at Little Bighorn Battlefield National Monument in Montana. Within the full circle are granite panels containing photographic images of and quotes from chiefs and warriors. In addition, each tribe worked to identify those who fought and those who died so their names could be listed.
