Post Hospital Ruins Fort Laramie
The Fort Laramie National Historic Site is located a few miles south of Fort Laramie, WY. The Post Hospital was built on top of a hill, away from the housing and barracks. For me it was the first thing I saw off to the left upon entering this historic site. It was my first capture of the historical fort that day and later in the day it was the source for my last. After we finished the tour of all the other areas, we made the short climb up the hill for a closer observation of the ruins. It seemed odd to me that I never saw anyone else take the path up to these ruins. This was my first impression so I am sharing it as my first of several images that I have of this fort.

My favorite moments are times spent outdoors. I love bird watching, going on hikes and appreciating nature that is all around us. Therefore, much of my photography involves nature and wildlife. I, also, enjoy traveling and have galleries with images from several states in the USA and a few European countries. Any image that might have the Fine Art America watermark will NOT print on the purchased product. Thank you for visiting my online gallery! Congratulations on this special feature "Images that tell a Story" in the Women Photographers group, for 3-28-2018. Selections were curated from images that had been in the group for quite some time, some dating back to 2013. Most all chosen were those that made me curious enough to look closer at the image and discover the stories behind them. You are invited to archive this image in the discussion for members titled "Images that tell a Story." Thank you for your participation in our group!
