American White Pelican Drifting Original by Debra Martz A day trip to the Great Salt Plains State Park provided ample opportunities to photograph these migrating Pelicans as they head south for their wintering grounds. A few dozen were drifting just above the spillway area and 100s more flew low over the waters in the distance.

This lake is located in Northern Oklahoma near the town of Jet.
