Fort Fincastle Nassau Bahamas ©Debra Martz Built in 1793 by order of Lord Dunmore, a Royal Governor 1787-1796 whose second title was Viscount Fincastle. The shape of the fort is that of an old paddle wheel steamer and was built to protect the city from invasion though it saw little action.
