Well Worn Pilings Portland Maine by Debra Martz The pilings, originating from piers of the past, remain intact in a collective heap at the cruise terminal in Portland, Maine, even after the passage of many years. I found them intriguing in their weathered and worn state, and even more so when a single cormorant landed on one. Amazing to me was its "matching colors" of silver, black, and orange. A beautiful display of nature amidst the relics of the maritime past.
