Lady Blackbird Gliding By the Winter Branches © Debra Martz There were many birds in the surrounding trees and I hoped to be fortunate enough to get one in this simple setup with the short to tall golden winter tree tops. This female Red-winged Blackbird was the only one who came close to the area while I waited. Not as close and not the bird I hoped for but I took the opportunity and I actually liked the overall simplicity. A textured background added over the very pale sky gave it a bit of a vintage feel.
