Young Mule Deer Resting by Debra Martz So busy disconnecting utilites and doing the "make ready" for the RV that I didn't even know that a number of deer had moved in right behind me until my husband got my attention. Camera was already packed so at first I pulled my iPhone from my pocket and after a few shots, I realized I had time to grab my camera bag and got this shot and a few others with my 55mm-300mm lens at 195mm. This young mule deer choose to rest in the tall grasses, while a number of doe and bucks, took their time feeding on the plants and "watching" us. I wish I would have had more time to enjoy the moment and of course, get more photos...but the road was calling and I had to go.
