Description
Wading White Ibis by Debra Martz Most of the time its beak was in the water, probing up and down on the bottom while feeding in the pond at Estero LLano Grande State Park in Weslaco, Texas. It took me a while to finally get a capture with head up and beak completely out of the water.
The White Ibis is almost all white with the exception of black wing tips noticeable in flight and obviously it very noticeable brightly colored beak and legs.
