The Mean Blue Crab by Debra Martz So, I guess they are territorial creatures like some of the birds I watch. I watched this run off a number of other blue crabs when they would get anywhere near. The moving sand top right is where this one moved from and the moving sand in the upper left is where the other one scurried away. This crab actually attacked some others...fought...but too much moving sand in those images to see the crabs very well at all. Captured along the 3300' boardwalk at South Padre Island Bird and Nature Center in south Texas.
