South Grape Creek - Texas Hill Country by Debra Martz A walk from the main "town" proper of Luckenbach, across a swinging bridge and up hill just a bit, will take you to an overlook view of South Grape Creek. Or simply drive the quiet Ranch Road 1376, park along the side and walk out onto the bridge crossing the creek where you will get this pont of view with the back section of Luckenbach grounds to the right. Along and near the creek are large bald cypress, live oaks and pine trees which are also found throughout the Texas Hill Country area. With the exception of the bit of blue sky and its reflection on the water, this was almost a study in greens, emerald green, with all the mixed variety of nature's trees and grasses..
