Description
We had just finished enjoying a lunch outside at the Yacht Club in Cuchara, CO. There was a beautiful garden of flowers growing around the deck and I had to stop, camera in hand, to take some photos. Not only flowers, but a number of bees, butterflies and moths were flying about. When the Comma Butterfly folds its wings it looks like dead leaves with a whitish mark that resembles a comma on the underside. There is a very similar Question Mark butterfly...who knew there were butterflies that punctuate?
(A fun side note: There is no way a yacht could possibly be used on the Cuchara River...a kayak, canoe size boats only! :-) But the atmosphere was very pleasant and the food quite good!)
