Walking the trails in the Sabal Palm Sanctuary would not necessarily get you close to birds but listening for their sounds can lead your eyes in the right direction. With my zoom set at 600mm I searched for the bird. The mockingbird perched upon the highest point of the stark winter branches against an overcast sky was perfect for a high key image.
