Moon Rising Same Time As Sun Setting - Colorful Sky by Debra Martz I enjoy watching the eastern sky at sunset when the pinks start to come alive at the horizon and then as the pink lifts it is replaced with blue sky. This night, Oct 15, was extra special as the full moon was rising in the east, and the sunset in the west was at the same time. It was 7 pm central time and the timing results did not disappoint. Those pinks followed by blues with the added full moon glowing from the sunset over the Gulf of Mexico in south Texas on this night were amazing.
