Description
Kinglet Here One Second Gone The Next by Debra Martz
Ruby-crowned Kinglets, so named for the color of their crown, though it is usually concealed and only present on males. They are hyperactive, energetic, quick-moving, wing-flicking little songbirds and foragers in wooded habitats. They are such fast movers that I always feel fortunate to get a photo of this little songbird.
Photographed in the Bentsen-Rio Grande Valley State Park in the subtropical tip of Texas.
