Horseshoe Bend - Arizona - Vertical No1 by Debra Martz Located about 5 miles south of Page, AZ one can hike to view this iconic meander of the Colorado River. The overlook is 4,200 feet above sea level, and the Colorado River is 3,200 feet above sea level, which gives this scenic view a breathtaking 1,000-foot drop. The hike is about a 1.5-mile round-trip; The trail is steep in some areas and has some places of deep sand, so be prepared for a challenge despite the short distance. And if doing this in the summertime, carry water with you!
