Description
This was one very busy Roadrunner, running back and forth chasing and catching insects. Most every time we visit this state park, we see Greater Roadrunners yet Cornell Lab Merlin app lists them as uncommon. Greater Roadrunners are large cuckoos and also known by the name of Chaparral and scientific name Geococcyx californianus
Captured at the Great Salt Plains State Park in Northern Oklahoma
