Description
The handrail and sidewalk in the foreground lead from the parking lot and curves around to the spillway. The lake from this point of view seems narrow but it does go farther to the right and left then at the horizon it meets the 11,000+ acres of the salt plains. And yes, that makes this a rather salty lake. The saline content is reportedly one-fourth that of the ocean. The Great Salt Plains State Park is located in northern Oklahoma. ©Debra Martz, All Rights Reserved
