Description
Great Kiskadees Nest Building Time by Debra Martz
I watched this pair working on their nest for quite a while. They took turns bringing and placing nest material. I also watched one taking a shortcut to finding twigs by flying to the upper part of the tree where Altamira Orioles were building their nest; the shortcut was the Kiskadee taking/stealing material from the Oriole nest.
Photographed at the Bentsen Rio Grande State Park in South Texas.
