Great Kiskadee and Rain Drop Pearls by Debra Martz When you've traveled several hours to go bird watching and it rains, what do you do? You hike and bird watch in the rain!! At least it was a light rain and a light weight slicker kept me and my camera equipment fairly dry and it made the spider webs easier to see instead of walking into them. I wondered if this Great Kiskadee was trying to be a bit opportunistic by perching by the spider webs...in hopes the web might make an insect catch that it could easily snag?! Scientific name: Pitangus sulphuratus
