In Port Aransas, Texas there is a salt marsh (salt flat, wetlands) called Charlie's Pasture. It is a wonderful place to take in nature from plants to birds and other wildlife. I was quite impressed with the beauty of this plant growing in the salty water. A boardwalk, measuring 1-1/2 miles, meanders over the water with several covered area to stop in the shade and enjoy your surroundings. At the end of the boardwalk, a trail on land leads to an observation tower offering great views.
