Description
Flowing Red River of Northern New Mexico by Debra Martz
The Red River of New Mexico is a short river which flows from the highest peak in New Mexico, Mount Wheeler at 13,161', in the Sangre de Cristo Mountains. It flows west through the town of Red River, near Questa and then south where it converges with the Rio Grande. It is very common to see people along this river at many points fishing for trout in its clear waters!
