Description
Excelsior Runoff to Firehole River Yellowstone Wyoming When entering the Midway Geyser Basin you cross a walking bridge over Firehole River where you can already "see the heat" of Excelsior Geyser.
"The Firehole River starts and ends in Yellowstone National Park.
It flows through many hydrothermal areas: Lone Star Geyser Basin, Upper Geyser Basin, Midway Geyser Basin, and the Lower Geyser Basin. Because of this, it receives geothermally heated water, which means this river is warmer than many other rivers in the park." info from https://www.nps.gov/places/000/firehole-river.htm
