While viewing the architecture of the French Quarter of New Orleans I noticed a large arch in the distance as we crossed a street. Since I didn't have a map of the area I was unsure of what it was. Therefore, instead of continuing on the street I was currently on, I turned in the direction of the arch. The large white arch was the entrance the Louis Armstrong Park located on Rampart Street in the Trem' neighborhood. What a beautiful find and entrance was free!! The park boasts a number of statues of Louis Armstrong and other jazz musicians, along with some modern art structures, duck ponds, fountains and benches for relaxing.
