Description
Cottontail Rabbit Hopping Along the Trail by Debra Martz While it seems like cottontails are plentiful, I find it surprising that most only live about 2 years. Almost every living carnivorous creature larger or faster, is its predator, with birds of prey being its greatest threat. I captured this cute cottontail in south Texas along one of the trails at South Llano River State Park when it briefly paused from hopping along.
