Bull Elk Grazing by Debra Martz
While driving a back road in south Texas doing some bird watching, early one January morning, I spotted this big, beautiful elk! This creature is not at all what I would expect to see in this area of the USA. It was behind a tall fence, so more than likely this is a private hunting property to where it had been imported...did not see a sign from this road about the property.

Thank you. I agree, Denise. I'm not opposed to hunting when it is really in open nature BUT I don't like it when animals are brought in and fenced to make them an easy target...that's not hunting to me.
