Brown Pelican Begging for Fish by Debra Martz
The neighbors called to say a beautifully colored Brown Pelican was hanging out in the canal. Grabbed my camera, went to the lower deck and fired off a few shots. The pelican thought, Bob, was cleaning fish since he was, after all, at his fish cleaning station. But he was actually using it as a table for painting! With certain moves of his hand this pelican would rise out of the water and beg for fish!! The pelican put on such a show that Bob finally went to his bait bucket and pulled out a fish for it.
