Black-bellied Plover Between the Pumpkins by Debra Martz
Someone had taken their pumpkins to the beach and dumped them in the sand dunes which captured the curiosity of this plover. When I first spotted the plover, it was standing right by the pumpkin and looking at it intently. I didn't make my walk back to there before it moved some but it was still close enough to partially include the pumpkins. I wonder if there will be a pumpkin patch there next year!?
