Birds enjoying the Freshwater Marsh by Debra Martz
The Leonabell Turnbull Birding Center in Port Aransas, Texas is a haven for birds and bird-watchers! It's this freshwater marsh, in a mostly saltwater area that attracts the birds. And what attracts the bird-watchers? A boardwalk extending 500 ft over the marsh often grants you that "front-row-seat" for viewing birds! But away from the boardwalk to the west side of the marsh is the "take-off and landing" zone next to the reeds as seen in this image.
