Beauty of an Iris By Debra Martz Saw this beautiful stand of irises and was wowed with their beauty. I can recognize an iris but when I tried to find a correct identity I was floored at the large number/varieties there are!!! I did narrow it down to beardless...about the easiest of the parts to figure out based on the images I found. Then I saw a group of Asian Irises and thought that was the ID but not. From there I discovered a variety called Iris sibirica and was pretty sure I had found it until I read it is often confused with Iris sanguinea. So yes, I'm confused. Whatever the exact ID, they are beautiful Irises to me. If you know, please feel free to drop the name in a comment.
