When I go to the beach in the winter, my main reason is to bird watch. There is a large variety of migratory birds in the winter on the Gulf of Mexico along the Texas Coastal Bend. My eye, also, is drawn to the surroundings and items that have watched ashore from the sea. But when I spotted this feather all alone with the exception of a small bit of seagrass, it seemed a beautiful representation of the peace and tranquility of the seashore. Just a feather, lightly dusted with sand and a bit of sparkle from the late afternoon sunshine.
