Spring Cactus with Red Blooms by Debra Martz The more I look at this image the more I see some kind of a silly cartoon type character!! Now on to the cactus....I must admit that I do not know my varieties of cacti! I saw this cactus among a group of many other varieties at the Valley Nature Center in Weslaco, Texas...unfortunately no identifier for it. I found the blooms to be unique; and again I don't know if it is the beginning for blooming or ending! Anyway, it was a nice find while at the nature center for bird watching...
